A Weekly Plan {Mar. 19-25}

So I've really fallen off the wagon with keeping up with my weekly plan. This week I've decided will be different, however, I'm going to keep it simple ....

Ready for this? My weekly plan is to ....

Get off my butt! Yep, that's it! In every way, shape and form I need to, want to, plan to get off my butt and get busy.

Working out - yep!
Eating healthfully - yep!
Organizing and deep cleaning - yep!
Clearing more junk outta my house - yep!
Finishing projects and crafts - yep!
Getting outside more - yep!

It's ALL included in this week's plan. I need to log off, shut down and just get busy.

Today was a VERY good start. I usually feel super overwhelmed on Mondays but today I just decided to go full steam ahead and work my butt off. Here's what I got done today:

* did my quiet time and computer time before anyone else was up
* went and picked up my curbside grocery order
* came home and realized my fridge was nasty, so cleaned it out before I unloaded the groceries into it - then realized the pantry was nasty too - so cleaned that out as well
* got the girls busy doing their school work
* did dishes
* cleaned kitchen and swept/mopped floor
* cleaned bathroom and swept/mopped floor
* cleaned dining room and vacuumed
* cleaned living room and vacuumed
* deep cleaned my bedroom, got rid of lots of junk, reorganized my closet, switched out some winter/summer clothes, vacuumed the whole room and all the monsters under the bed
* posted some stuff for sale online
* made homemade Olive Garden salad dressing
* delivered a bookshelf to someone who was buying it from me and picked up a bike for my daughter that I was buying from someone else
* swept the porch
* folded and put away several loads of laundry

Hmmm, I think that might be it ... I lost track! But it was a busy and very successful day! The weather was absolutely HOT here today and it was wonderful to have all the windows open. The girls put on swimsuits and played with the hose all afternoon - can't get much better than that for mid-March!!

Anyway, it's been a good day and I'm exhausted, let's hope by the end of this week I will have a LOT more things checked off of my to-do list! =)

A Weekly Plan {Feb. 13-19}

Hmmmm, yeah I'm still here! Sorry for the lack of posts, lack of pictures and lack of discipline in the area of weekly plan posts! Sometimes life just gets in the way!

So, one thing I HAVE been doing lately is studying the book of Ephesians with a group called 'Good Morning Girls'. Every day you just read a couple verses and then take a little time to reflect on them. We are already on week FIVE and I can't believe I'm sticking with it! In the past I have been so bad at keeping a consistent quiet time and this has been such a blessing in my life right now! There are SO many people I know going through SO many difficult situations and making time to start my day with reading God's Word and prayer has been wonderful.

The other thing I've been doing lately is trying to kick my butt into shape. I still am not seeing much difference on the scale, but can tell my body is getting stronger little by little. I am signed up to run a 5k on St. Patrick's Day and have a couple others later in the year that I plan to do as well. I'm thankful that even when I don't see the scale moving I have a healthy, able body.

And our school days continue to plug along too. I have a confession to make. I'm no good at teaching science! Actually, I pretty much stink! I mean, it's super interesting and super fun and there is SO much stuff out there to learn ... but I hate trying to come up with lessons and ideas and how to put it all together. Last year we used Apologia and honestly, I probably should have just stuck with them this year. I thought I could save some money and use a book I already had but I've been a bit disappointed this year. Blah!!

What else? Well this coming weekend we're going to visit some friends so I'm trying to plan my week accordingly - getting our school work done, planning our meals, etc. It's fun to have a little weekend getaway to look forward to!

On the menu this week is:

Mon - Taco Soup {one of my all time faves and healthy too!}
Tues - Valentines Day {hubby is taking us out to dinner! woohoo!}
Wed - Awana night {sandwiches or easy stuff}
Thur - Eggs and Toast
Fri - on the road to Pennsylvania so we'll prob grab fast food or make sandwiches to bring in the car.

Pretty easy week as far as cooking goes!

I just have to say, one thing that this weekly plan has been really good for ... keeping my life in order. It might sound funny but I am the kind of person that gets busy with life and forgets simple stuff like cleaning the bathroom and changing the sheets weekly ... with this chart I have a GREAT reminder to do it every week and I love it! I'm also doing better with drinking more water and tracking it on the chart. So even though I'm not a stickler to every detail of the chart, it HAS been helpful and beneficial around here.

Anyway, guess that's about all for now ... sorry for such a lame, boring post today! hahaha

A Weekly Plan {Jan. 16 - 22}

This will be my 3rd week following a plan for the week. As I said in my last post, the past week was kinda different since I've been sick for most of it. I'm still fighting the cold and really, really hoping I can kick it in the next day or so because I really want to get back to 'normal' {whatever that is!}

This is the weekly planning chart I use:

I did not getting dusting done this week and I only did a quick swipe of the bathroom ... but I'm OK with that. I DID call Keurig, the big thing on my list that I NEEDED to get done. And even with being sick I did manage to get quite a few things done.

SO, moving on to the coming week. I don't want to make a big to do list in case this cold lingers too much longer. So my basic goals and need to dos are: eat healthfully, exercise, get back to a good school routine with the girls and be consistent with quiet time.

On our menu for the week:

Breakfasts ~ Apple Pie Oatmeal, Mini Egg Muffins, and Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal muffins

Lunches ~ Corn Dog Muffins, Chunky Potato Soup, Sandwiches, and Ravioli

Dinners ~ Chicken Parmesan Casserole, Beef Pot Roast w/ Baked Potatoes, Pasta w/ Meat sauce, and maybe a couple other easy meals that I haven't decided on yet.

This week I also have TWO Blessings Unlimited parties coming up and I am VERY excited to do those!

I do have some other goals that I hope to get to. I have a bunch of stuff that needs to go to Goodwill, I need to order pictures for an upcoming scrapbook weekend and I {eventually} need to get around to painting the hall and the doors and trim again. But until I'm feeling 100% I don't want to be too ambitious!

OH! And tomorrow morning I am beginning the online Bible study over at Good Morning Girls. {There is a button over on the right}. I am excited to dig into God's Word and hope this will help keep me accountable to be more consistent.

Hope you all have a WONDERFUL week!

A Weekly Plan {Jan. 9-15}

I am happy to say that my weekly plan from last week was a HUGE success! Yes, there were a couple tasks that were left undone, and those will be put back on the list for this week ... but overall having this list on my fridge gave a LOT more purpose to my days!

Once again, here is the chart I'm using ...

Last week I did FIVE days of exercise! Drank more water than I've had in a LONG time and crossed MANY of the items off of my to do list. =)

Here is my plan for this week:

Goals:

Eat well, Exercise, School time, Quiet time

TO DO:

* Get Balcony Girls lesson ready for Saturday

* Mail flowers to Tricia

* Call Keurig {didn't get to it last week}

* Mail out thank you cards {wrote 'em last wk, now just need stamps}

* Go to the library

* Register for scrapbook weekend

* Make photo copies for school

* Go to the bank

My weekly verse this week is the same as last week ... only because I'm trying to work on the Gentleness challenge in how I deal with my kids and I feel that the fruits of the spirit are something I need to daily ingrain in myself.

"But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control." Gal. 5:22

My meal plan for the week is:

Mon. - Homemade Chicken Noodle soup w/ cornbread

Tue. - Turkey burgers w/ Sweet potato fries

Wed. - Awana night {sandwiches or something easy}

Thur. - Eggs and Toast

Fri. - Tacos

Sat. - TBD

Sun. - Shepherd Group

And that's my plan for the week. How are you doing after this first week of January?

A Weekly Plan {Jan. 2-8}

Being that my word for the year is SIMPLIFY, I figured a weekly plan was in order. For me, there is no better way to simplify than to have a PLAN of action!

First, I am using this template to keep my week in order.

My goals for the week are:

Set up my ETSY shop

Meet my neighbors

Get lots of school work done with the girls

Exercise

Eat well

Have consistent quiet time

My TO DO list for the week is:

Grocery shop

Library

Call Jess about piano

Make dinner for neighbors who just had a baby

Make food for Memorial service on Friday

Call Caroline about setting up Blessings party

Schedule our next Balcony Girls

Call Keurig!!

Thank you cards

My weekly verse {going along with the Gentleness challenge} is:

"But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control." Galatians 5:22

And my menu plan is:

Mon - Rotini Casserole with salad

Tue - Homemade Chicken pot pies w/veggies

Wed - Awana night - sandwiches

Thur - Italian Chicken pasta

Fri - Chicken Chimichangas

Sat - Beef Pot Roast & Baked Potatoes

Sun - Leftovers {or go out}

This simple little piece of paper is already helping me immensely! I keep it posted on my fridge and check things off as I do them. It helps me keep track of drinking enough water and I'm also writing little things like when I floss on it. {I need all the reminders I can get!!} Even tracking when I change the bedsheets is a good thing for me as too often our week gets to busy and I forget.

How about you? Do you have a weekly plan?
