I promise not every post will be one of these boring 'life lately' things - but for today it's all I've got! LOL
Last week Joy had this super cool Immigration day at school. They've been learning all about immigration and how people came to America through Ellis Island and the 4th grade teachers put together this really cool program. Basically each kid was supposed to choose a country that they were immigrating from, they made their own passports and came in dressed up. Then they went in the gym and went through the whole immigration process before finally being accepted as US citizens. I was asked to come in a play the part of a nurse who had to give each student a {fake} medical exam and throw people into quarantine at the hospital if I thought they were less than perfectly healthy. It was a really neat morning and I think the kids really had fun with it. I also thought it was so neat because there is a lot of diversity in Joy's school and it was cool to see all the countries represented from China to Egypt to Scotland, etc...
Our baby birdies left the nest! :( We watched and watched them and took TONS of photos until they were finally out of view and I must admit I was kind of sad to see them go! Joy said she wished we could just keep one as a pet! I can't believe they were less then two weeks old and already big enough to leave the nest. They grew at a CRAZY fast pace, literally changing drastically every single day.
Almost twins! Totally unplanned we dressed alike one day {we both had similar jean shorts on too}
Changed out the flowers above my sink!
Lovely evening bike ride ... I LOVE longer evenings!
Changed my polish too!
Ahhhh, a slow weekend with not too much going on ... we were able to enjoy some time just relaxing by the pool ....
I just love this sweet face!
On Sunday we took my Mom out to lunch to celebrate her birthday {which was Monday}, we chose a place that my hubby doesn't love, but the rest of us girls all do - The Olive Garden! Yum! So thankful he didn't mind going even if it isn't his fave. I'm SO thankful for my amazing Mom! She is such a blessing in my life.
I'll be back soon with more to say! =)
