I have too many photos and too much to say about our recent trip to Myrtle Beach, so I’m going to do my best to sum things up by telling you some things we learned while on vacation …
1. These two girls really are the best travelers EVER. 17 hours in the car on the way down, 17 hours in the car on the way back and NEVER a word of complaint or an argument between them! They watched movies, played DS’s, did activity books, talked and giggled, looked for license plates from other states, etc. They were WONDERFUL little passengers!
2. No matter where you travel to, or how long it’s been since you saw one another – visiting old friends is always a huge plus of traveling!
3. South of the Border is … well, uh … huge. And wild. And crazy. And like nothing you’ve ever seen or experienced before.
4. Choosing a hotel online doesn’t always work out – but in this case it DID! Ours was fantastic and everything we hoped it would be!
5. Having a 12th floor room is both breathtaking and terrifying all at the same time!
{and little birdy friends will visit your balcony if you leave crumbs behind}
6. These girls really truly are the best of friends. They got along SO well the whole trip. They played together in the waves, talked and giggled together constantly and just did so well together. We could not have been more proud of them.
7. There are some SUPER cool restaurants in MB … however that doesn’t always guarantee a good dining experience – when you sit next to people who smoke or swear or complain about their dinner in an obnoxious way – it kinda kills the atmosphere real quick.
8. My girlies and I LOOOOOOVE our fruity drinks! {theirs are non-alcoholic of course!}
9. Contrary to what the girls may have thought … their Daddy ISN’T the tallest man in the world!
10. We sure love us some beach! Whether it’s the beach in CT, Bermuda, or South Carolina --- it’s a wonderful, wonderful place to be!
11. Family really IS everything and I love mine SO much!
12. I love collecting things and finding the beauty in the simple things.
13. When you’re checking out of your hotel, and driving away feeling sort of down in the dumps about the end of vacation … it sure is great to know you still have wonderful friends to stop and visit with and it’s a great way to round out a great trip!!
THE END!
